THEME CAMP CRITERIA

So, you want to register a Theme Camp or Village. Here are the criteria for registration:

  • Camps should be visually stimulating.
  • Theme Camps must be interactive. They should include activities, events or service to the Burning Man Community in general. We are most impressed by the new and unique camp plans we receive. In most cases creating a chill dome with music and relaxation is not enough to receive placement. Some camp members should be at your camp at all times in order for your activities to be as accessible to others as possible.
  • The placement registration questionnaire goes live on February 1st at http://burningmanaustralia.com and the deadline for submitting them (together with your Camp Layout and Leave No Trace plans) is March 30th, 11:59 PM Pacific Time. In order to be eligible to have your camp placed, you must register before the deadline, and you must submit a completed Web Questionnaire, Camp Layout Plan, and comprehensive Leave No Trace plan.

Thank you for creating a Theme Camp for Burning Man!

Newsflash

Burning Seed 2010 - the first Australian regional Burning Man event took place on the June long weekend from Thursday 10th June to Monday 14th June 2010.

The theme for the first official regional burn was ‘Creation’, aligning with the idea of the beginning.  Participants of this newly emerging community were active in creating the story.

The aim is to gather momentum to stage a full scale 'Australian Region' - Burning Man Event - in the Australian desert, or suitable outback region, in the not too distant future.
