"Mel Burn Beers" @ Fad Gallery, 14 Corrs Lane, Chinatown, Friday 26th March, 8pm - 1am. Thanks to the Fad team we have the Green light to another Meet and Greet and all Burners are welcome !!! Function to be held on the first floor area and drinks to be purchased in the downstairs general bar. The area designated for the gathering is also open to public patrons from downstairs, mingling through on the 1st floor area, however, a few couches will be reserved for the Burner's Meet and Greet. Its Melbourne so dress funky ;-) Also, please note that last time most people turned up around 9pm, so I've change the start time from 7pm to 8pm, to fit into this pattern. We also need to start looking at these nights as both a Social Meet and Greet and as a way of giving information to the Melbourne region that's relevant to the upcoming Regional Burn in June and Burning Man in general. Therefore, please start posting ideas here, as to how we can improve the night by way of organisation and information. In the long term it would be really good to also create roles to make these night run smoothly, without things defaulting back to the Regional Co-ordinator. The growth of our region will rely on people sharing these things. Keep in mind that our main goal is to become a group responsible for fostering the Melbourne Regional Burning Man Community, so we have to start asking how this can be sustained and developed, where the needs of our community are brought forward and met. Finally, if anyone has any fun ideas which we could do during these nights, please suggest these here. ie Performances, Games or a Dress Up theme? Maybe someone could organise to have costumes available, or bring in a projector and put up photo's from a laptop etc etc etc |
