There are going to be a few project including the Nargile Lounge that will be coming from Melbourne to SEED. I'll post something within a few weeks when I have more details about a possible shared truck rental :) *stephanie* aka serious

This post of yours opens up an interesting notion which relates to how our community views the production and use of either your proposed documentary material or anyone else's.

May I share with you that to use the term 'official' implies that any such material is coming from an authoritative source of some description.

In our communities case, this would be from either the community or any legal entities formed serving the community.

Therefore, I'd be interested to know what your take on this is and how you arrive, in your thinking, at the notion that the proposed documentary is of an official nature?

Secondly and its no fault of your own, is that the term 'Oz Burn' has been bandied around as way of describing the 'Australian Regional Burn'.

This came out of last year's Seed Gathering, only as a suggestion, which the Vision Group ran with for a while.

Nevertheless, out of feedback from the community and further self examination by the Vision Group, it was felt that because the gathering is in such a formative stage, it would be better to run with the concept of describing the event as a 'Seed' gathering while it is germinating.

Therefore, with any proposed documentaries, may I suggest that it might be worth noting this part of the story and reviewing the name to be used in the title, to reflect that sentiment of the community.

Newsflash

Burning Seed 2010 - the first Australian regional Burning Man event took place on the June long weekend from Thursday 10th June to Monday 14th June 2010.

The theme for the first official regional burn was ‘Creation’, aligning with the idea of the beginning.  Participants of this newly emerging community were active in creating the story.

The aim is to gather momentum to stage a full scale 'Australian Region' - Burning Man Event - in the Australian desert, or suitable outback region, in the not too distant future.
