 Wherever you are and whatever your skills, there are plenty of exciting opportunities to volunteer, collaborate and get involved with the global efforts of the Burning Man community — and this is the place to start.

You may wish to help with the creation of Black Rock City, and roles across every conceivable skill set are available year-round, at the event, or both. You may want to get involved with the year-round efforts of the non-profit Burning Man Project, get engaged with global civic programs through Burners Without Borders, or tap into your local Burning Man community and its activities through the worldwide Regional Network.

If you want to work on a project (art or otherwise) or find people to work on yours, hop on the Spark system and find people looking to connect and collaborate across all fields of endeavour.

 Since its inception in 1986, Burning Man‘s very existence has depended upon on people generously gifting their time, energy, and resources to make the event happen. No matter your skills or interests, there's a way for you to participate in the creation and manifestation of Burning Man, both at the events and through all year-round activities in your area.

It's important to note that, unlike most mainstream festivals, volunteering for Burning Man is not typically associated with any material reward or ticket; as a community-driven event operating in the spirit of the Ten Principles, volunteering is a form of participation, gifting and civic responsibility.
